When to Stop Watching? - Do you still watch, have you stopped? Why?

So I don't know if there will be any interest in this conversation but I thought I would give it a shot. I doubt that I am alone. I have been watching AL since a couple months before the breakup with Dusty. I started somewhere in the realm of the Christmas from hell (hundreds of dollars in presents opened in one night-before christmas). Recently, I have just found myself actually becoming invested in AL's story. I find myself emotionally elevated after I watch her videos. The one with Becky and AL(I don't want to lose weight) really bothered me because it is so problematic and concerning in so many ways. I don't think that it is healthy for me to continue in the indulgence that is AL...it's just so dang hard to look away.

Have you quit watching AL's videos? Please tell me more...

You're on a site built around laughing at an autistic man for the last elevenyears. So when should we stop laughing at this cow? Precedence says Around 6-7 years after she stops producing funny content. Or she dies, and the sub is locked.
 
The best way to enjoy Amber is with zero emotional investment.
 
I still watch her, I just have to ready my ears for her screeching. But this is a place whose foundation is laughing at the extreme personalities. I'd rather watch her with her voice pitched down a little.
 
I started watching during the Golden Era (when she and Destiny were working at that retirement home), and I stopped watching shortly after the Becky era began. She's so boring and cyclical now, and the Farms provide me with better AL content than AL herself.

I'll start watching again if something interesting happens: the inevitable drunken "we broke up" storytime, a Destiny and Dana wedding vlog, or death announcement.
 
I've watched exactly one of her videos, and it was the "last hurah" video from yesterday. I'll never watch another video from her. The chinese buffet followed by an entire pint of ice cream, plus what looked like two boxes of hamburger helper? Fuck no.
 
Personally, it's hard for me to gain any emotional attachment to any of these lolcows. I mean, they are always in the situation because of no one else's action but their own. The majority of their problems can be fixed relatively easy. But they lack the willpower to do so like in AL's case.

If you stick your hand in fire and get burned, and you realize this but do it again and again... Do you honestly think I'm going to sit there and feel sorry for you for burning yourself repeatedly? No, I'm going to laugh my ass off.

Now I have found myself feeling sorry for the parents or loved ones around the lolcows. But that's another thread I guess.
 
I don't feel any guilt for watching her, she uploads and overshares. I don't hate her or any cow featured here, as others have said before, lolcows are the modern equivalent of the freak-shows of time gone by (with a hint of terrible novella/soap opera). It's just funny to have a passing laugh at the funny antics or silly dramas that they decide to share with the world.

People-watching, really - and whenever people-watching gets boring, you can just get up and find a new vantage point, setting your sights on a different kind of bovine to browse.

She's not the most interesting or whacky lolcow but she's fun to laugh at.

I usually skip over the "sit and talk to the camera" videos. I watch when other people are with her because she's boring alone. I enjoy seeing how cunty she is to people and how they react to her.
 
I don't watch her videos anymore unless someone here points out something particularly salacious/irritating. Then I watch that part of the video. She's just so fucking boring. I prefer watching her be a cunt on Twitter (seriously, if you ever feel "bad" for her or about yourself for watching her, just read her Twitter).

I'm just sticking around for the next break up cycle. That should be good.
 
Stop watching? The entire point of following AL's saga is to watch her eat her way into an early grave in the most obnoxious and idiotic fashion possible. She has no other entertainment value.

2) The beetus takes her

When her video is too damn boring I have a go-to channel that adds commentary to her content.

I'm at the point with AL where any shred of sympathy or hope I have for her is nearly gone. Her narcissism, toxicity, and conceitedness turn off my feels.
 
I will skim her videos, but I am so grateful for the brave Kiwis who watch her videos and provide a written breakdown. There's only so much screech laughing, wheezing, and awkward silences I can take.
 
Although I watched the Destiny era videos religiously, I probably would've stopped watching if it hadn't been for the uh-mazeen farmers who sit through her sit-down videos and dull-as-fuck Becky era videos and provide recaps.
 
Amber fascinates me, I'm ready to watch her inevitable break-up with Becky and scramble to find a new lesbian to take advan- ...date. I am here to watch her lose a limb to diabetes and see that not be a wake up call for her. I'm here to see her bed-bound or rolling around in a double-wide motor scooter. I'm here for as long as she documents her life until she dies.
 
I used to watch her videos regularly and then comment on here and the discord + the facebook group, but I got too busy for that and she has gotten boring. Literally nothing has changed since the Destiny era in terms of her content. Yes, she's fatter than ever, but she is still the same liar, binge eater, buffet-eating, whiny, and manipulative cow we all know she is. The only main difference is that she swapped out Destiny (who was fun and made the videos somewhat tolerable because she actually liked being in them for a time), to the ugly thumb.

I check here once in a while to see if she died yet or if there's some huge scandal, but it's just another weight loss attempt. I appreciate the farmers who take the time to summarize her videos. Listening to her kills my brain cells.
 
If Amber, or any other cow, starts to bother you, walk away. There are plenty of threads here that you might enjoy.

IMO Amber isn't worth any effort and if what she's doing/saying is getting to you, it's time to move on. She's, literally (to use a word she loves) going nowhere.

I bet if anyone stopped watching her for 6 months, they can come back and still be in the loop. Even if there is a new girlfriend in the picture, it just same shit, different day.
