It's gonna be another 30 years or so. 40/50+ have a lot of cable subscriptions, they are gonna be at home as they age, and I doubt they switch to streaming services unless a majority of content moves over there. And you also have to consider nursing homes, they won't wanna upgrade their stuff for as long as humanly possible.

Technically you aren't paying for cable TV in general through your TV license, it's more like a tax that exists specifically to fund the BBC
