When there are no more leaves on deciduous trees, the decorations (man made ornaments) are set to replace the leaves (God's ornaments)

Growing up my mom would always do it on December 1st, when I came back to America were they actually have Thanksgiving we would always do it after we ate Thanksgiving dinner.
