You won't. They will forcibly assign you to some labor task, it's not your decision to choose wherever you want to work.
 
I'll be the ideas guy. I come up with all the cool ideas, just like they do in film production, vidya development, product design, etc.
 
Legitimately, any mechanically related engineering role would probably go by fine as long as you don't contradict the supreme knowledge of the true and honest leader of the people. Though that's if you're chosen for one. Meme answer would be computer programmer. Can't get enough of those!
