Nextdoor to my house in the states: I'm not sure if Chris would like my neighborhood, considering a lot of our neighbors are gay men. Also, I'm pretty sure he'll spy on me when I'm changing clothes.

Absolutely. Really, Chris needs to grow a pair and stand up to Barb once in awhile, which would be the key to something like this happening (or, well, either assertiveness, or Chris breaking down and whining and begging her, and her just happening to give in).
