consoomer and not that cute

2000s beanie babies for example, are still Consoomer, but actually cute

Some are cute, I have a couple that were given to me as gifts from various friends/exes. Can't deny how soft they are, but I don't get the obsession with them. I think the only one I ever bought myself was the small flamingo, not because it's a squishmallow but because I have a little collection of flamingo things.

I can see the appeal of squishmallows but their uniform designs and massive amount of licenses are far too reminiscient of funko pops for me. At least they have a practical use (as solid pillows), unlike pops.

I like them, I basically have a little den thing (weird cut out in the wall, its an old house)
I basically lined it with pillows and stuffed animals so I can read while super cozy. Idc what anyone says, sometimes you just like having a goofy getaway.

Dead eyed, empty like a Funko Pop
Ugly, lazy monotonous designs
Expensive and take up a lot of space
Seeing collections of squishmallows is so shocking- the way plushies can reach rhe ceilings... Isn't dust a concern when you buy so many things??

An original beanie baby has novel designs, not talking about the big eyed monstrosities they release now, but I would take the glitter glaucoma animals over a squishmallow

I have one (Essy).

Call me autistic but I like having my bed be colorfully decorated with soft things like plushies I can use as huggable pillows (say what you want but that shit cured my back pain), so when my sib was buying one for herself and her boyfriend I decided to get one too cuz fuck it they're cute.
I don't regret it; I use Essy as a phone rest now when I'm watching stuff in bed — oddly enough that dumbass dinky tail helps keep it in place.
Definitely wouldn't get another one though as they're stupid expensive and a lot of the designs are ugly and unappealing like the food themed ones, also I feel bad robbing 4 yr olds of their cute animal plushies.
