• The person who never picks up calls is often someone who is overwhelmed with pressing matters, or is someone who doesn't care to speak on the phone and would rather be left alone. Again, this can be taken either way, so be mindful of the calls you are choosing not to answer.
• The person who answers calls right away can be seen as dutiful, helpful, but also over-eager. If you're the kind of person who picks up calls at inopportune times, you could be making a horrible impression on those you care about or with employers.

How else is your phone supposed to notify you of an incoming call? Smoke signals? Morse? Have someone message you via flag alphabet?

The C64 chiptune version of Boten Anna, and my notification sound is a loud glass smashing SFX (think a window being broken) because I find it really funny when it startles people around me who hear it.

I have one of those gay smart watch cuckbands because it's not always safe to keep my phone in my pocket at work, but I still need to be able to read texts and take calls. The vibration is enough no need for a ringtone

Land phones (VOIP or otherwise) is about as rebellious as not willingly branding oneself.

I used to use clips of instrumentals I liked, but after having "Timing X" by Devo as my ringtone for a while, I realized that I was getting a flash of adrenaline listening to Duty Now for the Future. Same thing happened with Ride of the Valkyries, so I realized this was a no-go.

Here is a solution I've discovered, and am pretty proud of: old TV show opening themes. They're written to be distinctive and punchy, they don't start out with quiet/dead air, and it's pretty rare that I see episodes of Get Smart, the theme from which is the ringtone I assigned to work calls. I don't use any with lyrics out of personal preference.
