Regarding the assumption that Lynn is transgender, that does not seem to be the case. She explicitly states that she isn't trans, and she is called Jennifer in her grandfather's obituary in 1994 when she was 11 years old.

Doing background research on her family history was difficult since she was put into foster care as a juvenile, so people search databases don't link her with her family. Her father also married several times. Her stepsister (from her father's third marriage) even shares the same first and middle names as Lynn, so it gets confusing sorting it out.
