Now? Some Kiwis unironically do judge games and movies by whether there's a black character.

When 1-in-7-ish characters in some show or game (plus-minus some reasonable level of variation), I don't get mad. But when traditionally white characters are blackinated, it gets old. It never happens in the reverse. So yeh, I'm judging media by how much it's trying to manipulate me and those around me.

I'm surprised jew isn't considered a slur

When has it not been? I grew up hearing my grandparents' and parents' generation talking about being scammed by saying "they really jewed me down" and so on. It's unclear to me that where they grew up if they ever really met jews or interacted with them either, it was a rural area probably 100 miles away from any significant jewish population. But kikes being what they are, they were the first to "take it back" and even now refuse to give up the label (whether it's more or less dignified than soft-R "nigga" I'll leave for others to determine).

I don't think "Jew" by itself has ever been a slur, its a word that can be used in insulting ways.

Sort of like how "girl" isn't an insult, but "you fight like a girl" is an insult.

More people outside of bongistan should use bugger and related slurs IMO. "Buggery" just sounds funny to me, I like it.
