Wouldn't a kiwi watermark be enough? I know cucking people out of the content by using the niggermark is funny, but I think that a transparent Kiwi Farms logo would be enough for credit without gate keeping.

Came to suggest this, that's what those Explore With Us homos do and it ruins all "their content". Smaller watermarks that say Nigger and then a larger bouncing one that's the KF logo. Maybe specialized smaller watermarks depending on the subject matter. (Like Tranny for clips about trannies, etc.)

I think niggamark is way too extreme (but still funny). If we are going in this direction I think we should use kiwimark. I’m thinking either the url in the corner or the entire logo in the corner, like I’ve seen some people do in the past. That way if YouTubers use clips from here even if they blur it out we’d know they’d taken them from here.

While both a niggermark and a traditional watermark would combat this, they have very different outcomes.

A traditional watermark would force youtube react faggots to acknowledge the existence of kiwifarms and in doing so publicize it to their viewerbase, which accomplishes the goal of attribution but carries the risk of driving low quality goyslop consoomer traffic to the site. I don't want that.

A niggermark, on the other hand, disincentivizes faggot retard goyslop churning influencers from harvesting kiwifarms threads wholehog in the first place, dissuades them from making their gay little videos at all, preventing both their profiteering bullshit gay retard grift, but also not putting the site on blast for every gay little retard on youtube and instagram to come shit up.

Maybe Josh or someone else can weigh in on this but I don't see much good coming from a high-quantity influx of low-quality users. Most people don't belong here, least of all the type of bottomfeeders who watch moistcritical or wavywebsurf or whatever.

It's a double edged sword of course. If everything is kiwi logo'd, the site will indeed get an influx of future pink triangles, but still get recognition. It's either you go out all out or just plaster nigger on everything and get nothing. It also wouldn't help those that genuinely write decent articles about the farms or do credit the site. So honestly, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

This is not rhetorical or a dunk or anything, I want to know the reasoning.

Simply put, it is a numbers game, most of them will not bother coming here, but some will, those people drive traffic which is always positive.
Some of those people will only check one or two threads and never come back, some will regularly check a few threads and maybe even link those to friends who are interested in the same individual, and a very small number will even make accounts.

There is also the part where most people who follow lolcow content on places like youtube, instragram, tiktok, or others, do not even know the site exists or thinks it is a super secret darkweb site only accessible with the darkest and deadliest Internet magic, and getting the name out there is the only way to counter the ''tranny suicide swatting murder forum'' allegations.
Since when people who know the site and even visit a thread or two every now and then hears the name in the media it is much more likely they will think ''I never see that there'' or ''Last time I saw someone call for attacking someone they got banned''.

Continuing my pro-niggermark tirade, I think that videos that can't or won't discuss these topics properly do not deserve to exist. Self-censorship incentivized by profit is still censorship, if you're not willing to call a tranny a tranny, even as a quote/citation, or even say the word suicide you shouldn't be making a video that covers those topics. If a platform does not want that content to exist, that platform should not profit off of that content in a censored/doctored form. I would much rather the videos not be made at all than have kiwifarms properly attributed in a dogshit neutered video made by a faggot cuck who licks stinkditch for ad revenue

The reality is these videos would still exist and be made with or without the clips from the farms or otherwise, censored and uncensored. We can't force people to not create or consume slop, so might as well use it as an opportunity for the good of the site.

I accidentally made a tutorial for this in the Bossman Jack thread.

Here it is. It’s extremely fast and simple. Maybe I should just redo the post here. The default setting is for the bottom right corner but obviously this can be customized to be put anywhere on the video

I don't think it's about advertising, it's more about the users of the Farms who put in the time and effort to monitor cows and clip things getting their collective credit, alongside Josh for all his work and personal effort in keeping the Farms afloat and the jannies as well who do it for free. Versus how it works now where some sloptuber nigger faggot just steals clips and content and analysis from this website and passes it off as his own and his normie audience being none the wiser. Forcing these people who profit off the work of Farmers to either be associated with the site by having to use watermarked content, or having content barred from them entirely due to niggermarking is more the goal.

This is another concern I had with the watermarking, if it's too out there and undermines the believability of the clip this could be a common defense for cows. "It's from KiwiFarms, it's edited, it's fake, it's AI!" etc. (Moreso than usual of course, but having a heavily edited clip could lead credence to these defenses vs just seeing a raw clip in the wild)

Not an issue for common watermarking techniques like the DVD technique, but there were some other ones involving dithering and things that were a bit out there.

I think a lot of people in this thread are giving a lot of undue credit to clip channels and their audience.
I hope i’ll be proven wrong, but forcing them to acknowledge that they get their stuff from KF won’t magically change their perception of the site.
In the same breath the channels will label this as a “doxxing site” and the viewers will continue to view this place as some kind of LiveLeak-type site, and no one was jumping to save LiveLeak when it closed.
