Damn, those do look nice. And the Black Templar iconography, outside of the shoulderpads, is super subdued. I can't justify the army box but if those legs/torsos become available elsewhere I could justify using some of them for my Blood Ravens.

I'm a very casual SM collector and rarely buy anything new for 40k at this point. I will admit, though, that when I saw that box art and the pilloried skeleton on the backpack, I felt a momentary twinge of temptation.

GW photoshopped the author's signature out of the artwork they used for the new Templar character.
Here's the original artwork. They used black and white because it was easier to photoshop it out?
Apparently Gibbons left GW's employ so they purged his name.

It’s sadly common for companies to do this and they will often not allow the artists to use the things they’ve drawn for their portfolios when looking for other work.

His current model is already a referance to artwork. So it will either be the same pose or they will mix it up.
