I just want to know why it's only now that it's being reported on. Why'd he keep quiet about it unless there was an NDA? I feel like there's more to this than just the fact he's got Parkinson's. He's really obnoxious on his social media that I wouldn't be surprised if that's carried over into real life and someone at WB just got sick of his shit.

The impact of social media on how voice actors are perceived should not be underestimated. From what I've seen, Twitter VA's tend to fall under 3 distinct categories: those who politsperg a lot, those who frequently interact with the fans & shitpost, and the professionals. The first two go hand in hand, and I don't think I've ever seen any voice actor that is only the second one, without any political content. Which is a shame as I do like voice actors engaging with the fans, it's always fun. The professionals are a dime a dozen - people like Amber Lee Connors or Keith Silverstein mainly post about roles they get or conventions they're headed to. It's a real shame that this is very much required for new/less prolific voice actors to get a ground in the industry because a lot of them can be eviscerated for having wrong opinions. Just look at what happened to Dr. Ratio's VA (Jordan Paul Haro, and that guy is seriously mentally ill and needs help):

Ratio's english VA from star rail is apparently getting canceled for revealing his powerlevel as a... christian who is sad that charlie kirk died. He deleted this tweet so people are attacking him in his previous last tweet where he talks about coming back to social media after it made him depressed (THE IRONY)

I disagree. I think Ratio is even more of a "rational asshole" than alhaitham and would 100% wear a "Facts don't care about your feelings" or a "Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right" shirt completely unironically. Someone should mod his book to a bible.

This is just sad. It's a good thing that some of the replacement VAs I've seen in Genshin are all anonymous. This seems like the right call, but I doubt it's feasible for newer ones trying to get their foot in the door and land new opportunities.
