I've got quite a few pieces back in storage at home. I like going through eBay after E3 every year to snag some of that year's swag.
A family friend had a sister who worked as a merchandiser for Nintendo. Basically she would go to all the retailers in the region to give the stores advertising and POP material, make sure the shelves were stocked and tidy, and maintain the demo kiosks. She hooked me up with a few shirts and this neat golf set with a water bottle, golf towel, tees, and three golf balls all with the GameCube logo. If I remember correctly, her position was eventually phased out by the company which is a shame.
Apparently her basement was filled with employees only swag and a shit load of POP materials dating back to the mid-90s. Never got to see it, but I have no reason to doubt it. Heck of a little nest egg, honestly. All of that stuff is worth a good amount of cash.
That's the good stuff, though. All of the mass produced Hot Topic shit blows.

Collectors edition and merch shit is gay, closest thing I got is a pile of Starcraft books at least those have a use.

I actually don't have a lot of merchandise, since my favorite game series don't get much of that kind of attention, but I have a few Wario and Samus figurines I've picked up here and there. (Eyeing that fucking sweet STALKER bag, @Pop-Tart )
However, earlier in the year I decided to splurge and buy something for one of my favorite franchises and characters, since there will probably be like no merch of this guy ever. I dropped a hefty wad but boy is my autism tingling just waiting for it to come.

I've only bought the Starcraft ones tbh, game was my shit growing up and some of them are really well put together.
