Are videogames for children?

You're just talking about slide. Slide is a cancer that dumbs down movement for console games. It's also a "Zelda roll" mechanic where it's such a clear optimal movement option that anytime you're not spamming it you're wasting time in traversal or are playing sub-optimally in combat. Slide is way too ubiquitous in modern shooters. Who do I blame for its surge of popularity? Is it Apex? It existed way before that but I think Apex is what most modern games are copying.
No, I’m talking about things like mantling and improved speed and jumping.

If I need you to think for me, I’ll make sure to bring the toaster in the tub with me, thanks.

Remember, when you assume, you make an asshole outta you!

This might sound like cope, but I never found any of the games funny. Be it the "shoot me in the face!" quest, or Tiny Tina being a little girl that swears a lot. Even Handsome Jack wasn't this brilliant laugh-a-minute villain to me. And yes, they includes the cringe unicorn jokes.
I only ever really found Borderlands enjoyable when playing co-op with friends and, effectively, ignoring the game audio. If you asked me to quote any line of dialogue from the games with a gun to my head I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to think of one to save my life.

mantling is an interruption to movement. It pauses everything you're doing to play an animation, makes it so you can't shoot till your gun re-draws and is contextual so it often happens when you don't want it to. Another cancer of modern games. CoD is the culprit this time.

How is mantling a delay compared to bouncing off ledges?

Christ, you are one autistic moron.

You missed the jump that's your fault. Mantling stops all momentum, takes the gun out of your hand and relies on the game to interpret what your intended action was, it's cancer.

If your only argument in favor of it is "it saves me when I jump wrong" that's a skill issue.

It allows you to get into different positions and locations, which makes gameplay more interesting. The fact that you’re acting like this is some kind of heresy makes you retarded.

Go play Woflenstein 3D and eat your chicken nuggets. Your mom got you the ones shaped like dinosaurs.

Everquest Legends is pretty fun, if you're old and autistic like all the old people on the forums here. I recommend it. I'm not sure it'll replace Everquest itself and the "overpowered single player Everquest" thing might get old, but, so far, it's fun to run around old world EQ bunching things in the face.

I thought it didn't release for another month or so?

I'm very interested, am also surprised they're charging money for it. Figured they'd do the F2P slop route since that's Daybreaks MO now.

Is there somewhere online that shows all of the content in EQ (or at least what's included in EQL) so it can be done in the proper order? I know next to nothing about the game itself, my old MMORPG of choice was Final Fantasy XI on my old fat PS2.

titanfall (which ironically, I think sliding works great in personally because it breaks up the pacing of movement and its not purely optimal) I think is what caused this. But also because devs are very lazy about what momentum means in games now. It's very sad to me even to this day that Tribes Vengeance was the least popular release of tribes but its movement in my eyes is perfect in every way and even if grappling hooks were basically an auto include for your loadout it was still a great game. at least people still play on the weekends for revengeance occasionally. Too bad they don't use vehicles or any maps that are a bit more uniquely designed though.

I always feel like I need to get something during the Steam summer sale so I ended up grabbing Blasphemous 2 and Brigador for my steamdeck, and atomfall, cruelty squad, and the deadspace remaster for my desktop. I figure that should keep me busy for a bit and theyre all games Ive had my eye on for a bit.
I really yearn for the early days of steam sales where it was an event, versus now its just a normal sale. Nerds ruin everything I guess

So I am seeing rumors that Microsoft has fired Todd Howard and given a deadline by which Elder Scrolls Six must be released.

Anyone know if this is true.
