What platform? Just curious.
Xbox 360.

It came with my first Xbox 360 from 2009. It got scratched, so years later, I found that bundle copy and bought it.

Nice. I have the PC version, though I have played it on PS2 at my cousin’s house once before. Speaking of Xbox 360, I remember getting one when I was younger and I didn’t really care much for it. I was always more of a Nintendo guy.

According to Wikipedia, the first Lego Batman takes some inspiration from the 1990s era of Batman movies.

Yeah, I always had a feeling that the Burton Batman films in particular influenced the first Lego Batman title. I’ve always enjoyed the TT-developed Lego games and the first Lego Batman is one of the most enjoyable to me.

It’s a charming game. Probably because it was technically my first Xbox 360 game.

ALL damn games with car driving NEED to have the option to show rear view mirror when you're in chase camera mode, period. Mafia Iii Definitive Edition Screenshot 2026.05.25 - 14.25.20.40.png
And making soft, overlay street signs to act as your GPS is brilliant UI element that's severely underrated!

I hope it's good but the character designs for 007 Last Light are giving me DEI consultant vibes.

Is that AOC on the bottom left?

This game looks like DEI slop. Why play this when GoldenEye for N64 and Wii exist? Heck, I'd rather play that canceled Virtual Boy GoldenEye title over this any day (still hoping for a build to leak online one day).

I can't escape autistic deck/dice building roguelikes this year. Already got The Silent and The Ironclad in StS 2 on Ascension 10, beat Dungeon Clawler with every character and have some characters working towards Debt 20, shit just never ends. Can't wait for Dark Heresy to drop so i finally have a real game i can sink hundreds of hours in again, takes all my willpower to not grab the alpha already. Handmancers and Die in the Dungeon are kinda shit by the way, don't waste your time or money, Prime Monster is not good either. I burned through pretty much every deckbuilder there is so now i am back to replaying old ones, sunk around 60 hours into Across the Obelisk in the past month again, a game i have well over a couple of hundred hours in even before the first DLC dropped years ago. Also gave Roguebook and Banners of Ruin a spin again and got thoroughly lost in both, BoR is the definition of a flawed gem and anyone into Deckbuilders should give it a try. Roguebook ain't half bad either, beautiful artwork, bit too simplistic mechanics for me these days, definitely worth a go still if you like that kind of game.

Batman: Arkham City isn't that good. It's okay. The way the fight system requires landing 8 consecutive punches before doing a combo is dumb. Movement is sluggish, imprecise, and laggy. Gliding is unpleasant. The riddler puzzles are uninteresting.

It's playable. Looks good even today. But...it's very mid otherwise.

The intro part blew me the fuck away when that game first released. The Arkham games suffer way too much from their combat system, which is initially fun but becomes extremely repetitive very fast. Origins also suffers from being shit in general and not being made by the original team, the last game had that totally unneccesary Batmobile shit shoehorned in which i disliked immensely. City remains my favourite title of the bunch, best story overall and again, that introduction sequence.

Regarding the Riddler puzzles: I was out of gaming for quite some years when i picked up Asylum for PS3, knew shit about Trophies and Achievements, finished those fucking riddles, most via guide, thinking it will probably unlock something super nice and all i ended up with was some shitty trophy i can do fuck all with, extremely huge let down for me. Didn't even bother with the riddles in the second game.

Edit: Arkham Knight also put my PS4 at jet turbine fan noise levels as soon as the game started, never finished it because of that.

Have not played an elder scrolls game in like 10 years. I tried to play skyrim again but all this mod shit was installed and automatically synced up through steam and it was so fucking fucked up and retarded I couldnt play it. Animals kept continuosly being dropped in to the world like 50 times a second on top of other sound glitches and shit. After fucking with mods and addons and cloud syncs and shit I gave up and downloaded oblivion remastered which I am very pleasantly surprised with.

It was one of my favorite games but I just never was very interested in the remaster for w/e reason. I'd say it fixed one of the biggest issues which is just the actual client. If you ever clicked out of the game god help you that shit was gonna crash and freeze and explode.
I had to dig up from the depths of my memory how the leveling system worked which I remembered being completely counter intuitive. Claude confirmed this was still the leveling system in place so I designed the whole character around this. Plan it all out in vscode then of course when I level I realize they redid the whole thing.
Anyway still pretty fun and the game overall feels alot snappier, more responsive, better looking UI and looks really nice.
It looks the way I remembered it which usually means they massively upgraded the graphics. You tend to remember the game looking way way better than it actually does at first.
I think I was one of the only people that actually found the speechcraft system totally fine and for some reason the new one is confusing with the color coding. It was sort of easier to distinguish from before.
