Definitely. I think that's why I love PSX-era JRPGs and stuff like that so much. Give me a rough-cut gem over something inoffensively competent any day of the week. While we're mentioning this retarded shit, the failed abortion of a sequel Gimmick 2 has a pride flag in one of its stages. Really funny considering how the renowned and beloved composer for the original game is like one degree removed from being a Japanese KFer in many fronts.

It's unfortunate that one of the more anticipated romhacks of EarthBound, which is a remake of EarthBound Beginnings/Mother 1 in EarthBound's engine, is (surprise surprise) also made by a troon.

From the few that I've seen it looks competent enough, but like Nambo said this is sadly the price you have to pay in order to get some decent hacks of old games.
