That's an interesting part, and something brought up a few places.
Texas (which is where Funimation is HQ'd) has laws on the books that declare that if you work for a company, and make an official statement in an official capacity, you are, by definition, speaking for that company. Think of how many times Samantha Inoue-Harte claimed to be involved with the investigation, or Marchi and Rial claimed the same. Funimation may very well be on the hook for this whole thing, and with many of Vic's acting gigs going to IRL friends of Rial, there's easy the possibility of further information getting dredged up.
Funimation's been in the weeb crosshairs for a while. God show that company mercy, because the weebs will show none.
My honest suspicion will be Nicky Rackets will be right. Daddy Corporate will come in, bring in their legal team, talk to Vic's Team and just go "Ok, will us firing the ring leaders of this shit from our subdivision be enough for you?" Sony will then probably ditch everyone involved in this shit storm from Funimation because these assholes were all semi-freelancers anyway. Because god knows such a huge fucking legal ballache as this horseshit is going to cost a division Sony increasingly sees as a financial burden means they will take the shortest, cheapest, route. Which means tell everyone to fuck off and get in people who can do shit way cheaper.
