Yeah Hilton will likely squeak through the primary given the current count, but it's serious rainbows to expect him winning in November. The Dem vote will coalesce around Becerra, and that which doesn't will be made up for by the usual post-election counting. It'll be another 60-40 result in the end, especially with the latest wave of TDS infecting urban California.
If Hilton somehow comes out as #1 tonight, I think he has a decent chance. Pratt is a long shot, but if he makes enough of a scene he could have some real national ambitions. You could see him as a dark horse for the GOP in 2028 at the top levels if Vance gets the shaft. I've never seen an LA mayor GOP candidate like him make such a national splash.
The only chance was always going to be the ridiculous long shot of the Democrats remaining disorganized and cannibalizing each other long enough for two Republicans to end up on the ballot in November somehow. Just being a Democrat already gives you a built-in 55% floor in this godforsaken state.
