I wonder what an Indian stab at a conventional fantasy/sci-fi story would look like

They actually made a sci-fi dystopian mythological film last year. It even had an animated OVA by Amazon set before the film which explains how the hero met his Batmobile. Problem is that despite being a fun watch even on it's own, it's extremely confusing if you have no idea of Mahabharata whatsoever (which this video by TheMythologyGuy & his comment section might help with after the film), & it really truly starts after the first half is done to setup the film.

It is, a bit slow on the first half due to the few comedy sections in between, but honestly it's fun to watch, despite some of the streaming autism it went through. Also, it's a parter, so it's only the 1st part of the story.
