I may be super late on this one, but I just realised something re: those poor fucking animals. They have to keep Amber's fucked up schedule. And like I'm sure they're regularly fed and just barely toileted... But what about their poor circadian rhythms? Might be less of a problem for the cats, but for Twinkie? What fucking light is that poor thing exposed to? Asleep all day and up all night because their fucking 'Mommy' can't get her shit together. It was so uncanny to see those pets so alert and ready to go at what was likely 4am or whatever.
