The Iowa caucus system is a huge disadvantage to casual voters that Trump appeals to, plus he isn't a big hit with evangelicals who disproportionately influence the IA caucus. I would avoid making any kind of extrapolation based on tonight's results; remember that IA is kind of an extreme outlier in American politics, and guys like Huckabee and Santorum won it in 2008 and 2012.
