I think he recognizes it as his only shot at some kind of personality. The dude's the equivalent of a conversation going on in the background of a movie or the soundtrack of a videogame. I don't think the Democrats actually want to show the other minorities (or anyone really) that it's possible to be a minority and not lick the taint of the globalhomo agenda they're pushing. Bad enough they've had to deal with Clarence Thomas these last several weeks.

The thing with Emily and Rocco sharing a lawyer (that Emily's family is paying for) is that the dumb shit Rocco says can be used against Emily who seems to have money.
