Vertigo Remastered

A fun, but flawed Half-Life like. You’re transported to a giant underground science lab and have to escape. There’s some humour along the way, my favourite being a banner for “happy evacuation day”. Lots of weapons to try and the levels have a mix of mechanics. I ran into a number of bugs and annoyances, and some of the level design tried my patience, while other under utilise mechanics. The games 5 hour length feels appropriate.
It’s a hesitant recommendation.
Propagation Paradise Hotel

The VR Resident Evil you wanted. You’re a clerk running around a zombie filled hotel trying to reach the seventh floor to find your sister. The game has a few quirks and foibles that harm the experience but is good for the most part. There’s one big problem.
The game is only four hours long, and that would be fine if it felt appropriate, but this feels like half a game. 2 weapons. You explore 3 of the hotel’s 7 floors, there’s unlocks to add replay value, and the story doesn’t end, it just stops halfway through on a cliffhanger that hasn’t been resolved.
Only recommended on deep deep sale.
Light Brigade (first impression)

A rogue-like with meta-progression. On the gamier side of VR. The weapons feel good, as does the praying gesture you use a lot. Unfortunately it has some massive issues. Hitboxes for terrain can be incorrect, and runs can be won or lost by RNG. I’d have to put more time in, but so far it gets a rank of Playable.
