And re:Liam being funny - Liam always struck me as the classic bullied kid who never stood up for himself. Barely seething hate beneath the surface from years of impotent rage, ready to lash out with any number of scathing zingers practiced in shower monologues and only employed in a guaranteed safe and backlash-free environment, but also horribly thin-skinned, where even gentle banter will bring several school years' worth of trauma to the bubbling back up. Essentially, good at projecting an air of confidence when the environment allows, but crumples immediately under any pushback and then starts spitting spiteful venom.

I fucking despised Liam, I wouldn't watch any of his shit. All he did was sandbag funny bits by being performatively kind or offended or playing devil's advocate with no punchline.

The only times he got nasty were personal attacks and, funny or not, there was always a venomous edge to them that put me off.

Also he was a pathetic nintendrone

He always seemed like he was seething. I think he came off as a tryhard, too, and that made him seem like a know-it-all shit and a generally unlikeable guy. Matt and Pat always played up their personalities, but Liam seemed especially inauthentic.

Knowing he was petty enough to downvote a load of Paige's posts on Reddit showed that he's just a miserable shit, I think. It's a shame he fell into obscurity. an active Liam is a potential lolcow.

Maybe he just knew that he was the least funny and enough people pointed it out to him.
 
It always kinda felt a little awkward with how he fit in but i never really had an issue with Liam. He was someone who would actually play a lot of games even if it was weird weeb shit or on the Vita. Plus he would watch more than just the current hot Shonen so he had a little more in terms of Anime knowledge he brought.

But yeah you could see him be pissy at times and how he acted after leaving and the breakup certainly showed who he turned into or was.

I also don't know why Woolie would bother doing something but also not putting effort into it but how fucking hard would it have been to just grab two screenshots of your respective characters for PNG tubing instead of whatever the fuck this is.

Vaguely related, but whatever happened to the Four Decent Friends crew? They did a few Fallout mod videos that I enjoyed.
 
Noteworthy things about this week's podcast:
  • Woolie is proud of his first FGC tournament win. Pat is salty his team came in last. Woolie might involve Reggie on the next one and Pat wants to get Paige on it as well.
  • Woolie got a contact from the Fair Huntress on their Katalyka clip. Woolie got the "I'm not actually racist speal." and now wants to disassociate from any Katalyka mentions from here on out. He claims that The Fair Huntress is clearly mentally ill, and he doesn't want a Chris Chan situation.
  • Pat claims that he loves messing people like this, but only in IRL encounters. Pat gets negative feedback asking why he "Makes fun of the mentally ill?"
  • Woolie is bored with FFXIV, but is willing to continue on. He's hoping there is something eventful on the horizon.
  • Woolie is satisfied that his behavior has scared off most of his stalkers in FFXIV. However, Pat has pointed out they are getting haters in game and in the comments.
  • Woolie says that he's playing FFXIV THE WOOLIE WAY™, 👏AND👏 IF👏 YOU👏 DON'T👏 LIKE👏 IT. 👏TOO 👏BAD👏 FOR👏 YOU!
  • Chat is concerned about Reggie visibly rotting on stream. Woolie says he can disappear whenever he wants.
  • Pat's kid has a problem of throwing stuff constantly. He has broken Pat's TV throwing stuff at it. Pat believes this is because he twirls stuff, so he thinks this was just an accident.
  • Pat is upset, but claims he didn't yell at his kid because this isn't a behavioral issue. Though he did have to lie to the warranty people to accept the warranty on the TV.
  • Pat implies he can't replace the TV if it's broken.
  • Pat believes he's doing a real good with fatherhood. He thinks that his parents were overtly harsh to him when they didn't need to be, and is proud he hasn't exploded at his son yet.
  • Woolie isn't looking forward to that test in his future, but is confident he will not fail.
  • Pat and Woolie are at least a little bit self aware they are in the best positions possible to raise children. But they think they deserve to sniff their own farts a bit.
  • Pat thinks he's going to be able to follow all of his son's interests until adulthood. He wants to break the cycle of parents not caring about their hobbies.
  • Pat still ponders that he was only conceived out of obligation, due to being the only "real" child of his parents.
  • Pat thinks the Nuclear Family never existed, and was just cope from white people.
  • Pat thinks we will never escape the lead poisoning epidemic due to vapes.
  • Pat believes China reduced climate change and now is 100% reliant on green energy.
  • Pat is forced to play Deltarune at 8 AM due to fear of spoilers. He is very mad at people sending him spoiler messages, and got the ending spoiled on Bluesky.
  • Pat hates Jujutsu Kaisen because it's fans are spoiler fiends.
  • Woolie considers spoilers on the level of racial slurs.
  • Pat unmodded someone because they spoiled something and crashed out at him.
  • Pat will be playing Warframe again soon.
  • Pat will be doing another 24 streams for pride month.
  • Pat believes his kid will be a marathon runner for how much he runs.
  • Pat was hoping to buy a steam machine to replace his desktop, but after the price reveal, he's no longer interested. Pat wants to move to Linux, but doesn't want to experience pain while streaming.
  • Pat and Woolie no longer care for troubleshooting tech issues, and will now just hire someone else to do it. Their stream crashes at this very moment.
  • Pat still doesn't understand why the Steam Machine exists. He thinks anyone who would think about buying it, will just build/buy a new rig instead.
That is all that is worth talking about for this week's podcast.

Yeah that's ARR nigger. If you played more than 3 hours a week you'd be into better shit.

Imagine FFX era Woolie and Matt riffing on Heavensward. That'd be fun.

But this is current Woolie and god help the man if he isn't committed to his stance of being bored and a whiny bitch to ensure he proves the haters wrong by refusing to proceed into the parts of the game people all agree are better.

Why is Reggie even there at all? Is having Pat there to be his human bidet not enough for Lord Woolie? Or can Woolie just not stand to be alone with Pat outside the podcast anymore?
