Worst thing to happen to the Celtics since Bron joining the Heat. Sixers become actual contendors. I don't know why they gave JB the green light if they were willing trade him for this little. Just tank and draft in a stacked class.

It probably came down to just them not wanting to pay JB so it was either let him walk or get some kind of value from him.

I find it hard to believe that was the best offer on the table though, plus you traded him to the guys who just beat your ass in the finals

Paul George has been so incredibly overrated his entire career. He gave the Heatles a decent challenge early in his career and has since been a piece of trade bait that these teams pick up and act like his the.missing piece to their championship run then it turns out he's exceedingly mediocre when he's not sitting on the bench nursing an injury.

But holy shit, do all these trades make Nico and the Mavs look like even bigger idiots for the Luka trade. Nico shouldn't be managing anything more complex than a McDonalds but I'm sure he'll fail upwards because corporate culture is retarded.

Same team that said Baylor Scheierman and Hugo Gonzalez were untouchable during the Giannis sweepstakes btw. Did Brad Stevens start smoking crack after his team got upset by the Sixers? This is unusually bad behavior out of him.

There were better options. With how they were desperate to get out of JB, the only other player that came to mind in terms of a fresh start was Zion Williamson. At least Brown would've been able to kill it with Queen, Fears, Missi, and TM3.

Some of these trades have me doing mental gymnastics lately. Washington with Trae Young, Portland for Ja, but this?!? I guess the bright side is that JB wouldn't be a PR disaster.
