Michael Jordan and Charlotte higher-ups saw the upturn late last season and knew they had to do something. God forbid the Hornets actually make the playoffs for once.
Trade doesn't make any sense for Charlotte. I can only see three real possibilities

1. LaMelo wanted out and saw what happened with JB's social media adventure so he just told the FO quietly. (this actually seems unlike him, but who knows)
2. Charlotte's medical staff started sounding the alarm that his transformation into Lorenzo was imminent.
3. Yes, Charlotte's FO really is that dumb.

I didn't think much about why they drafted a guard on night 1. But now, it's clear that they want to build around Kon

It's never been more over, this iteration of the wolves is done. TRADE THAT BUM NIGGA RANDLE
We offloaded his sorry ass thank god lol

And not sure how I feel about the Ball trade. On one hand he should pair good with Gobert, on the other his durability is questionable and he's missed a lot of games. They may have got us with a sell high situation and fucked the Wolves to a degree

I don't know what Connelly is cooking. It's clear being the anti-Jokic team is not winning any chips so I get swinging for something that can keep up with the Spurs/Thunder but the trade is concerning even if Ball lives up to his potential as a decent second scorer and facilitator. There is a high chance the injury prone retard does some shit or gets hurt early that sends the Twolves down the Bucks current track, except they never won a ring.

Giannis to Miami: does not compute. How will he and Bam function as the 1st and 2nd options on the team? Norman Powell can be a good pairing with Giannis but he is no spring chicken. Just doesn't seem like a real needle mover for the Heat or for Giannis, he will be in the same boat he was in with Milwaukee 3 years ago. Bucks got a good haul in return.

Charlotte and Minnesota: two lolcow franchises that will never achieve shit. Not that LaMelo is a championship type player anyway but they really had something rolling at the end of last season, so naturally they blow it the fuck up. Minnesota's position is more understandable but I think Naz Reid is worth more than LaMelo. He may prove me wrong, who knows.

On Caitlin Clark: is she a huge bitch behind the scenes or something? Because none of her teammates stand up for her. I get that the black lesbian mafia that runs the WNBA is probably not a big fan of her but there seems to be more to it. Lauren Jackson never had issues like this to my knowledge, she was a white Australian and never an out lesbian (although I think she is one).

Thanks I 100% agree

No, it's because they are all envious of her since she gets more attention and endorsements aka money than them. Nobody hates women more than other women.

They also can't make any excuses as to why she's popular. She's not hot or interesting or media savvy. She's simply much, much, much more talented at playing basketball than anyone else in that league.

That’s IF they even manage to keep Norman Powell, which is unlikely due to the Heat’s cap space issue. The Heats do have the Bird rights to him so can theoretically force him to take whatever they want but that would mean moving a lot of other players.

It is crazy that the outstanding citizen that George Floyd'd her is getting a more vigorous defense for a single game suspension than anyone that is employed by Indiana is giving Clark. Her teammates, the coach, the GM, and the owner should be bitching to high heaven that their star got an elbow to the throat and a knee to her cunt like it was a late 2000's kink.com video, but they don't seem all that perturbed about it.

LeBron wanting a supermax is straight up 🌙 when he literally cost the lakers this season. And please don't come back to Miami we don't have room for your untalented son

It's also something to see how deeply entrenched the WNBA is when it comes to DEI and treating black athletes as if they are incapable of doing no wrong.

I think I mentioned earlier ITT how fights and brawls in the men's game pretty much end themselves after everyone gets their anger out, players get their discipline as some combination of fines, ejection, or suspension, and everyone usually moves past it unless there is particular bad blood involved. The WNBA acts as if it embraces the black thug mentality and won't punish players for the injuries, fights, and brawls that ensue like the NBA has - especially if a black player is the aggressor. It's also telling to see players defending an act of flagrant violence when the opposite is true in almost any other sport.
Clark brought this sheboon lesbian league a level of popularity it had never seen before and this is that thanks they give her. This league can't fold fast enough.
At these point Clark should just tell the WNBA to go fuck itself then go play in France or Australia where her skills will actually be appreciated. I hope she stays there and comes back to fuck the US women up at the next Olympics. Fuck these jealous ungrateful hoes.
Clark, as a straight white Christian young woman, espouses conservative values contrary to what the WNBA promotes through its on and off court activism. Sadly, her athletic accomplishments mean nothing because of the WNBA caring more about diversity than offering athletic entertainment. It also gives credence to everyone claiming Clark is a pariah because she's a straight white Christian female even if were untrue.

I wouldn't be surprised if she considers other alternatives when her current contract expires and considers offers for leagues other than the WNBA. There is plenty of competition

Yes. It's very easy to tell who doesn't watch the WNBA because Clark's always been a giant bitch. Even the white players don't like her.
I think part of the problem is too many talented athletes get large egos and feel their sport and world as a whole should revolve around them. I saw a recent clip where Clark complained about receiving a technical foul for clapping an the referees. There are plenty of clips of players receiving the same penalty for clapping protest of (no)calls made by the officials. Ever self-perceived superstar across all sports get mad when they don't get the superstar treatment from their peers and the officials. If that's the case for her, she needs a relatiy check and fast or else it has the potential to mar her reputation and career.

At some point or another she's going to need to fist up some bulldykes because it's obvious her teammates and coach won't do shit.
I see this as a catch 22 for her. If she stands up for herself, I can see the media and players spinning it as her being anti-LGBTetc. If she doesn't stand up for herself, she'll be labeled as too soft.

Miles Bridges got traded to the Suns.
The Charlotte Hornets are trading Miles Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
