If their H1B gets revoked, they get deported and slapped with a ban from entering the US ever again, then they're as good as fired. No board of directors are going to keep execs who can't even enter the country the company is headquartered in. They'll cut them loose and hire Americans for the position. There are absolutely ways to get rid of them.

I don't know how true that is, but it tracks with what I can observe.
