At my old job I overheard two of my white coworkers debating the origins of "do the needful" and then both agreeing that it was a good saying with many uses. I wanted to blow the entire place up.

How could a native English speaker say something so stupid-sounding completely unironically? My brain refuses to accept this information.

It's not just the Indians. Indians are called "Asians" in demographic maps and surveys, and I think that Bri'ish government calls them "Asians" also (along with Pakistanis).

Yes but the rest of the commonwealth - which has no such habit - has started calling subcontinentals 'Asian' as well. Or 'South Asian.' The reason is pretty transparent: dilute the crime statistics by lumping jeets in with the slants.

I think it was someone here that posted a spicy/chuddy comic with a British news reporter talking about high rates of rape among Asians, with the next panel showing a bunch of Jeets acting scared of a bunch of Japanese/Chinese/Korean looking folks, then it showed a U.S. news reporter talking about high levels of education among Asians, with the next panel showing those same jeets smugly walking in front of the Japanese/Chinese/Korean folks.

Indians are ray-cyst against indians. Nothing say being proud of india like not wanting to live there around other indians and indian culture. Clawing tooth and nail to live in a country that is intensly NOT INDIAN. lol.



I had an acquaintance get called a ray-cyst by some mystery meat shitskin. She's fairly liberal so it was satisfying to hear her complain. I couldn't say what I wanted to say, but I did encourage her discomfort with that word being used too much.
