i'm still trying to convey how "better than RBMK" is somehow a dunk as far as reactors are concerned
RBMK had so many fatal flaws i don't see how you could do worse and realistically still have a functional nuclear reactor
we're talking
- no containment vessel
- negative void coefficient
- retarded rod design
- no core catcher
- ancient hardware and control systems
- instability by design
meanwhile in hindustan you have reactors that are "only" incredibly inefficient (utilizing a whole 1% of uranium), prone to part deformation, corrosion and that's just the pressured water reactors, then you have boiling water ones which are ticking timebombs

Also don't forget that RBMKs are huge unwieldy, and massively expensive to build even compared to vastly safer and more advanced reactors, and the only thing they have going for them is that you can crank a dozen of the fuckers out in the time it takes to build a VVER's pressure vessel.
