How is it a metaphor? There’s basically one meaning of love which is refers to strong feelings of affection. If you’re Christian maybe you’d say it can also be the act of supporting or helping. I don’t see how what you’ve described, which is merely accepting your circumstances, is in any way love. It’s as if you’re just redefining words to make it sound more complicated than it really it.
