I envy you PlayStation owners, us lowly Xbox owners have to wait a year for each part.
Do people realy care? FF7 was just a Tech demo for the PS, It pushed alot of Tech, but as a game it just fall short of other FFs of its time.
They should have remaked 6 or 9 instead or just pure HD remasters of 7,8 and 9 as a bundle(HD remasters are much cheaper to make)

I won't say that you're wrong, but most FF fans I know would strongly disagree with you. Whatever it started as, FF7 was a gamechanger.

VI was my first FF, and remains my favorite, but VII was also great. Getting out of Midgar for the first time blew me away. Having the girly-girl love interest die for once was also a nice change of pace. IX was fun, but the story was shit. When the best characters are a wooblie black mage and a rat, I think you screwed up.

Technically speaking, it's finished (the actual essential plot is a done deal, this isn't a MGSV left hanging kind of game), they just never released three planned DLC episodes they were intending on. One is basically "super happy ending where everyone lives happily ever after", and I can guess how that one might have gone and I don't really weep for it, but the other two might have been fun.

Do admit I liked Prompto's episode the most, it was basically "Metal Gear Solid 1 as done by the Final Fantasy team"
Final fantasy 15 still has that ending though
The problem? It was released in a novel

^Non-canon ending. The DLC should have focused on enhancing the original story instead on a lame plot that's not even canon.

Even people who don't like or play JRPGs have heard of FFVII. Like it or not, FFVII is a big deal to a lot of people and SE is always happy to give it preferential treatment.

They should have remade 6

The big difference between 6 and 7 in my mind is the graphics. 6 set the gold standard for pixel art graphics in the 16-bit era. Any remake, no matter how much time and effort was put into it, would fail to live up to the original. Meanwhile, 7 is a fucking mess. Its the perfect candidate for a remake because anything they did with the graphics would be an improvement. The fact that they're doing a ground-up remake (rather than just a graphical polish) is just icing on the cake.

FF7 looks blocky as hell but it has a weird charm which I find endearing.
