It's a lot to take in because it has numerous abrupt starts and stops and parts that sound like they were inserted. I think they even said in an interview from 6 years ago that the recording and composition of OWTC were somewhat disjointed. That's one of the things I like about it, though. I enjoy being caught off-guard. Just listen to this, the part in the middle is crazy:

 
The new Dir En Grey is certainly good, but I think it's going to take a while to give it a rating and to say how it compares to the rest of their discography.
 
Searching Disembodied Tyrant/Synestia/The Poetic Edda in this thread produced zero results so forgive me if this has already been posted (since it's not that new), but this -the entire Poetic Edda EP actually- is IMO the best thing that's happened to extreme metal in years.

New Black Magick SS came out and i just realized it.

It's strange even for them. They do a King Diamond knockoff song. Not as catchy as Burning Bridges for sure.
