I've got smilie drama.
  • Many of them don't render (just see text prompt) in the menu in both mobile and desktop browser.
  • When I insert one (either one that renders or one that doesn't), I get a server error message. ("Oops we've encountered" dialog box.)
  • When I delete the smilie and try to post the comment, I get a "too many requests" white page.
Sad!
 
Sometimes loading slow or not at all, don't know if it's TOR browser?
 
Site loads weird like this today no matter what VPN location I use. Haven't changed any adblocker settings or anything like that. Brave browser like usual.

On my laptop the reply form doesn’t appear, on any browser I use. Phone is fine. Weird.

Posting from VPN on mobile for the past couple weeks and I was experiencing the same issue repeatedly for several days. For the last 2 It's been smooth but today I just got 429'd again. Still no idea what causes it to start happening.

Edit: I think it's entirely tied to the emoticon system. For some reason it appears like it just sends out too many requests back and forth. Simply opening the sticker menu and giving a post one or opening it to put stickers in your own post in-line without fail can trip a 429 if the sites filter is especially bogged down at a certain hour. At least that's my theory.

I've had on and off slowness on clearnet for the past couple of days, but things load eventually. When I'm not having this issue, the site runs like a cheetah.

Every time I check the smilies, it thinks I'm DDOSing the site. Each one that loads is like a different request, so it freaks out.
 
Several of the smilies are additionally just broken. They point to kiwifar.ms (Cloudflare murder page) or my.mixtape.moe (gone) or i.imgur.com (403 forbidden).

:salt: actually does load an image, but it's the broken proxy image for some reason.

More annoyingly it's sometimes double posting even when you only click Post once, then not refreshing the past to show the new post, so people then try to post multiple times after that.

I had a post completely vanish the other day. First time that's ever happened to me. I had it all in there in the field, pushed post, and it was gone. Usually when it doesn't go through I can come back later and the post is saved in the reply field so I can try again. Not this time.

The display problem is resolved for me though. Still using the same VPN settings so it may have been ddos related.
