Team Four Star - Creators of a bunch of stuff to make people laugh trying to figure out what to do after a decade of comedically retelling Dragon Ball Z.
I remember UPN or some other non-cable channel back in the day running DBZ and Sailor Moon back to back early in the morning. I think a few of the channels just crammed all the anime together when they were testing the weeb waters.
If they had just gotten over themselves and done the Buu saga, or released the HFIL and Shortz episodes more frequently, they might still have some relevance.
I still assume they will do the Buu saga eventually, it'll get to a point where they have no option and need to go back to their most successful work. It's not like they can make any money off of anything else they've done.

Apparently Martin lost all of the data off his computer and had re-tool this episode into two halves. He allegedly promises the next half soon. That's always promising for a YouTube video. Nice to know he'll be finished with the filler arc by 2030 though.
In December, mind you. Meaning he managed to do all the editing writing and audio recording in under 2 months. Really makes you wonder why it takes 1-2 years per episode.
Though honestly, if my wife pooned out I'd be far too depressed to work on anything either.
I don’t think you’ll find anyone on this site defending Martin in the last decade at least. I keep meaning to put together a timeline for ygotas’ production, just to get a clear picture of how fucking drawn out it has gotten.

I feel like I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Yu-Gi-Oh went through its entire anime run (not counting Season 0) and five spin-offs in the time it's taken this guy to even get to the final arc of an abridged series.

Martin’s coming up on 20 years of doing this. Yu-Gi-Oh! ran for 8 and is approaching its 30th anniversary. 20 years in is when we got Dark Side of Dimensions. It really is mind boggling how anyone could get this far on a creative endeavor and never so much as develop the skills to create an original work. LK and TFS really were niche nerd lotteries.

I'd be interested in seeing that because I wonder if my memory is playing tricks on me or if I just got used to the delays. I remember it feeling like it took him forever to get from the Paradox Bros to the end of Duelist Kingdom, but Battle City seemed to come out pretty regularly.
God, back in the day, three months felt like an eternity between videos. Him finally having Yugi beat Pegasus was a big deal that took so long to happen... and in reality it was only about a year and a half.

As the show established the rules of the game, the abridged series had less and less jokes on the content besides the already grating character jokes. And Littlekuriboh is a faggot that doesn't even try to actually research the game to spice up what happens during the duels.
For example this is funny without resorting to character comedy:

I've never played the game so I don't know how accurate it is, but the two episodes of If The Emperor Had A Text-To-Speech Device where they play (convoluted name to avoid saying Yugioh) it seemed like a very good way of making fun of the mechanics and deck types (the Emperor ran a voltron deck, Tzeentch had a broken combo deck, and the captain of the Custodian Guard was made to play what I can only assume was a pauper deck.)
