They don't want your money once. They want your money every year. No money next year is what the NFL fears. The people burning shit are the ones spending a large chunk every year buying NFL stuff.

The ones who have been cancelling cable, and Sunday Ticket on Dish are probably more worrisome to them, as that's subscription money loss.

Recent history with Dish Network says otherwise. They keep losing hundreds of thousands of subscribers each month and they beg like mad for people to come back. Even waiving every fee and offering lots of incentives. People still don't come back they either go pure net or to another service.
 
I don't wanna sound like some sort of SJW repeating the blindingly obvious but it's such piss poor ad hominem when the problem is they're millionaires who should be grateful and have nothing to complain about. That's the whole point, they're not doing it for themselves, they're trying to sacrifice some of that platform and privilege and give back some of their own personal progress to people that might be left behind.

How has political polarisation made people so dumb?
