Reddit's policies don't make sense to me. If the problem is that the original was poorly moderated, it should really only matter if the same group of mods tried to create a new sub. It just doesn't seem like "ban evasion" should apply to groups. The only way around it is to come up with new nomenclature for the same idea, which forces them to start from scratch.

And I would get it if they had given a "it's hateful" excuse for the ban, but they made a weird point that Reddit "got" the original joke but then it got too real. So the original joke should still be fine, yes?
