At least that meme had a little merit in letting people relate to each other. A lot of them were edgelord supreme, yeah, but I saw a few that were pretty funny and, as Tumblr would say, relatable. That's the thing, though. What made the whole ___ Gothic trend so funny was that the shit they talked about was super specific, to the point where people could only really relate to it if it was something they'd experienced themselves. These are so "relatable" because they're so vague they could apply to anyone who exists and has emotions. They're like the horoscopes of Tumblr.
