So what’s the last actual piece of entertainment Rebecca’s worked on? That one song from the Amphibia Christmas special?
I’m starting to suspect that the entire production process regarding SU “traumatized” her and she‘s too “damaged” to actually work on entertainment at any sort of meaningful level, 2+ years out of the animation industry (and no, the previously-mentioned song doesn’t count) isn’t a good sign.
But then again it’s probably for the best that Sugar stays out of animation, especially when you take into consideration what drove her to feature and push for the Ruby & Sapphire wedding in the original series and Future’s focus on mental health.

Nice try man but you can't have your cake and eat it too. SU isn't nearly as milkable for content as AT is. His resume is impressive, why revisit old conquests? If he's struggling this hard to get more work to will a revival of the autistnado that is this IP into existence, that's on him.

It should not have ended peacefully when looking at the overarching conflict. Pacifists like him would been dead in this kind of story if he wasn't surrounded by fighters like Connie and the crystal gems. But Steven always gets what he wants. If he wanted friends, he got them. If he wanted change, he got it. He wanted peace and by God he got it, long-term consequences they made their viewers consider be dammed.
