I get that. I do. And so does she, actually. One of the cool things about Star is that she looks back on her past behavior and laughs. But really, she is a good person.
I'm not saying don't talk about her ever, I'm just saying she's grown a lot since her lolcow days.

From what I've seen she seems perfectly harmless but very self-deluded, and that leads to saying/doing really weird things. It might be nice to get a different perspective than her own.

Well, Star and I have been friends for a few years, and we chat about every other day. A while ago I became very ill and almost lost my life. Star really helped me get through that time by making me laugh, singing for me and just generally being supportive. A lot of my other friends became uncomfortable around me, I think. But Star understood that I didn't want to be alone through all this, and understood that I how scared I was. And when I recovered, she also got that I wasn't the same person that I was before I became ill. I was kind of angry and disillusioned and a lot of my other friends weren't prepared for that.
Our relationship is goes anywhere from just girl talk about clothes to really serious discussions about relationships or the future. I get that she says weird things sometimes. But it hurts me when people make fun of her for it, especially since I know how hard she tries to please others and how she is trying so hard to be a productive member of society.

I've been following her on Tumblr for a while, so, I'll go and say she's actually pretty nice.
She's a normal person who looks back on her past then regrets and laughs at it.
To be honest, she's just an eccentric person, but a person nonetheless.
I really think we should lock this thread, since she's already crossed the event horizon away from lolcowdom.
