Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

I’m not gonna harp on it again. Why even bring it up? Pretty much everyone in that era was behaving out-of-character. The only character I could actually stand was Sarek.
I will always defend Karl Urban’s portrayal of Bones, best thing about those movies and they just never use him because that would take time away from Spock punching someone while screaming.

Still blows my mind that they had Benedict Cumberbatch play an Indian named Khan Noonian Singh just so they could have his appearance be a twist in the story. A brown actor would have given the game away.

Honestly the way Britain is going it won't be surprising if 200 years in the future there are white looking guys named Khan Noonian Singh. So maybe it's not so absurd.

b) if we're doing Khan stuff the way to handle it was they beam onto exactly the Space Seed ship, but bring Chekov. Chekov trips and accidentally activates the guy next to Khan (still Montlebahn in stasis) and he's all "oh wow holy shit that's the big evil hitler khan right there, no time we gotta kill him now nownow" then sherlock grabs a phaser and shoots Khan immediately before anybody can process what's going on, then it turns out he was an even bigger asshole who was a rival of Khan's

And the big reveal "my name... is... Khan" fell flat because it was aimed at the viewers (JJ Abrams' classic memberberry gimmick to avoid character development) and had no impact on young Kirk or his crew because they have never met the people of the Botany Bay.
