Then you're about the only one. You see plenty of people doing mock-ups of 'Ocarina but as a modern game', 'Majora's Mask but as a modern game', 'Mario 64 but as a modern game'. Plenty of people saying 'They should remake Ocarina but it should look like Twilight Princess' or 'They should remake Ocarina but it should be open world like Breath of the Wild'
I never see any of that for Star Fox 64. We had the 3DS remake (and, frankly, I thought the 3DS remake was pointless), we had Zero which was just Star Fox 64 again but with more Star Fox 2 elements, and people are forgetting that Star Fox 64
itself was a remake, of the original Star Fox. People are fucking tired of Star Fox 64
Also more Star Fox. You guys have to see the bigger picture here. If you want new Star Fox that is actually a Star Fox game, you had to reintroduce people to the series. The future is bright.
Fuck you. People like you are exactly why Nintendo has such (deserved) contempt for their fans. They know they can shovel out whatever low effort garbage they want and you will still buy it, saying things like 'You need to reintroduce the game to a new audience' and 'If I don't buy it, then Nintendo won't make any
new Star Fox games'
I'm not interested in any new Star Fox games if getting me to pay $60+ for a 30 year old game is A) the best they're coming up with and B) how they're trying to gauge interest for a new game
The 3D version is the hardest to get legally
No it isn't. Firstly, I can still buy it on Amazon here in the UK and secondly, it's not as if the game had a limited print run. It was one of the core 3DS titles and it went Player's Choice. There's millions of copies out there.
More people have been talking about this remake than anything Star Fox related in years.
Because it's 'new'. No shit people are talking about it
The unfortunate reality is that if you don't change you just remain stagnant
They haven't changed. They've just remade the same old game with a newer, uglier, coat of paint. They are staying stagnant.
Changing would be making a fresh, exciting,
new game
I hate FFVII Remake and Nomura's Time Jannie faggotry but ot doesn't hurt the existence of the original games
It actually does. It parasitises the original while being mostly inferior to it. While the FFVII Remake isn't as bad as some examples because the original is still widely available, it still replaces the original in the discourse and the search query results and is, therefore, harming the original
just as Star Fox Command's existence doesn't hurt 64's.
Why would a clearly distinct
sequel that
flopped ever hurt the original? The only way that ever happens is when it causes people to realise the original wasn't really that good, and that's not the case with Command, which was just the all-range mode of Star Fox 64 but the entire game
