Sport Stacking has been a trend since it's inception in 1981 in California. During the 2000s was likely the peak of the trend after receiving attention in the news during the 1990s with the governing body World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA). Often played by children and with many different rules and arrangements. The most famous being the Cycle goes goes from 3 - 6 - 3 to 6 - 6 and then 10. Still confused?
