Tbh I have a complicated relationship with coffee, and hot drinks in general. The former because it seems like no matter what I add, it’s hard to get past the bitterness that smacks the back of my tongue. The latter because I always wait a long time for it to cool so I don’t scald myself. I tried a white chocolate mocha once, but I didn’t consider that all the syrup would pool down to the bottom of the cup. Not fun. That said, am I better off going with something iced if I try it again?

I get a coldbrew. Doesn't matter what temperature it is outside. No sirup or anything like that. If they ran out, its an ised americano.

I haven't tried the different varieties of matcha drinks yet. I'm thinking of trying vanilla protein matcha or banana protein matcha. They sound a lot better to drink based off of flavor.
The protein matchas are pretty good. I go to Starbucks about once a week and recently switched my order to this. I don't know how much protein is in them, but it's enough that I forget to eat lunch.

Otherwise I love a basic black cold brew. If I'm going seasonal, then the iced sugar cookie latte is Christmas in a cup for me.

When I was a kid visiting the States, I remember getting vanilla milk at Starbucks every damn time. It was so exotic, since we didn't have that in France, and it was my go-to after tennis practice.

Our Starbucks selection is still way more limited than in the US (and no doubt way less sweet), but I still go there for regular skimmed milk lattes, which cost less than in most coffee places in Paris, or else the rare white mocha as dessert.

Do they sell tea and is it Yorkshire Gold and do they ACTUALLY boil the water first?... I'm not sure this is the right kind of sperg but here we are.
They do sell tea
No it’s not Yorkshire gold.
No they do not boil the water
They do not brew the tea.
They add milk or, god forgive me, soy or plant flavoured exudate before the bag is added.
Tea from Starbucks is absolutely vile. Even the tea on GNER is better than Starbucks tea. It tastes foul, it’s practically undrinkable. It tastes like sadness and misery

I guess the Starbucks in my area must be one of the good ones, probably because I've ordered their peach iced tea multiple times before and it tastes consistently good. Also I think you double-posted by accident.

Apologies for the double post. Have deleted.
Peach iced tea isn’t tea though. I mean yes, it sort of is tea but it’s not Tea tea. Tea should be brewed from Yorkshire tea teabags, in a pot, with boiling water and then added (after correct brew time) to a proper mug which has milk (actual milk, from bovine/mammalian nipples) in it.
I am of course being grumpy, and perhaps I shouldnt expect decent tea from a coffee chain. It’s not really possible to do takeout tea like it is with coffee or other beverages.

I won't argue against you for saying that, I can fully understand where you're getting at. It's why I usually just make tea at home and stick to frappuccinos whenever I go to Starbucks, I already have a ton of tea here. It's hard to expect quality from a chain restaurant.

Can only remember getting java chip frappes at Starbucks after a disappointing latte. I am a Dunkin supremacist, never had a bad drink from them and their iced mochas are like crack. Former coffee snob though so ideally I'd just make cold brew at home with some decent coffee and italian sweet cream. Don't sleep on huckleberry coffee either, the fruit not the roaster.

Wanna hear something unholy?

They sell Yorkshire Gold in the southern US. I am drinking some now, iced, with a little Splenda :)

They don't put Starbucks in my hood. We got a bus station Dunkin they took the seats out of to stop the loitering and constant begging for money and donuts. That didn't work so they put all the registers and self order kiosks in the front where the seats were. Now everyone just loiters outside instead.

I like regular coffee with cream. Occasionally I'll get whatever iced or frozen thing is seasonal. But I really don't like all that sugar and syrup in hot coffee. They always add way more than I want.

My go to is the peppermint white chocolate mocha. Rarely done wrong from what I experience, and usually consistent flavours. Honestly though Starbucks has gotten so mid for me lately I find myself going to more local, but still franchised, coffee places instead. The fucking snowman cookies are crack cocaine to me though, so fucking good.

I get the iced Sugar-free vanilla protein latte currently. I really love the salted caramel mocha and peppermint mocha but the sugar and calories 😭

@Lentil Soup the protein matcha is about 29g of protein. :)

I went to Starbucks the other day for the first time in ages and I got a white chocolate mocha frappucino (I'm one of those people who only drinks coffee when it's 99% other shit,) and you know what the guy asked me?
"Do you want that without coffee?"
YES??? Oh my god, I got the frappucino without coffee and it was amazing. No bitter twinge at the end of my drink!! Just an icy white chocolate milkshake! Holy shit, give that barista a raise.
