You gotta admit these covers are sick as hell. IMG_5250.jpeg

Shame Image seems to have abandoned the IP. Could make a awesome survival horror game out of this material.

Image doesn't actually own anything they publish, it was one of the only thing the founders could agree on when they finally sat down to make it a thing. They take whatever they spent on printing and marketing out of the sales, and then 5% after that. So all that money The Walking Dead made? All Kirkman's, even if he didn't become a partner.

Can't believe I missed this though, it does look cool. How was it as a comic?

Read Comics Online is down and so is the backup domain apparently. Been reading Judge Dredd Complete Case Files otherwise.
Yeah they've both been down for a few days now, I think since Thursday. Luckily I've been using this cool service called ReadComicsOffline (which is just cbr/cbz files I have on my computer read thru SumatraPDF). Only thing that sucks is that I have a bunch of things bookmarked on RCO and it's annoying not having access to that.

Just checked and yeah, nothing's loading. Damn it, I had so many series that I kept meaning to get around to reading and never did. But if they were any good I probably would have done it by now (Never did read anything Eric July published after the second Isom book diverted to an unrelated tangent instead of finishing the story he'd set up)
there's always getcomics.info for download and the associated readcomicsonline.ru for reading (not the same as the ones that are down)

and other places, comics.codes and so on
Forgot about that. Time to download some old series and then completely forget about them again. Maybe I can finally get around to reading Sam and Twitch.

Finally started with making my way through Brubaker's works after falling in love with Criminal earlier this year, which is my favorite comic book next to DMZ now. Watched a documentary/interview with him that was in my YT feed and started with Sleeper. While the writing isn't bad and Phillip's art is gorgeous this book isn't catching me, like at all. The super hero stuff feels extremely out of place. Gonna drop it for now in favor of Scene of the Crime, the artwork looks fantastic. Also got my eye on Gotham Central. I most likely will skip his super hero stuff, i simply don't like reading cape shit that much, but his Catwoman looks interesting. I will definitely check out Incognito, despite my aversion to super hero stuff, too.

Was surprised to learn that Brubaker was a producer and co-writer on Too Old to Die Young, i watched a couple of episodes of it when it originally aired but never finished the show, gonna give that one a shot again, too.

Edit: Scene of the Crime was quite good. Really liked Lark's artwork in this. The conclusion wasn't as good as i expected it to be but it still was a nice, quick read. Definitely a skill to pack a story like this into just four issues and it not feeling rushed or crammed.

What would MAX Frank Castle think about the anti-Vietnam War protests, and how would it be different from 616 Frank Castle?
Haven't read 616 Frank in a long time but MAX Frank would hate them because he wanted the war to go on endlessly because he loved it.

Gotham Central is one of my favorites of all time, I highly recommend it. But I'd say give his Captain America run a shot, it's a different sort of story than his crime dramas but there was some good stuff in there. If you're not into Winter Soldier, you probably won't like the rest, but you never know. Velvet was an interesting spy thriller if you're into that.

Probably won't read it but the Brubaker docu/interview i watched spoilered a lot from his Captain America work and it didn't sound even half bad for super hero stuff.

I am half way through the first Incognito run and like it a lot, the super villain/cape stuff works well in this one i think. Writing is on point and Phillips' art is as great as ever. Not as somber (while still plenty dark) in tone as Scene of the Crime or Criminal. I am enjoying this, Brubaker pretty much my favorite writer now. I am excited for Gotham Central, which i will read after i am finished with both runs of Incognito.

Anyone read this/is it any good? It's like 10 bucks on Amazon so thought about checking it out. I'm generally a Geoff Johns fan and although I fucking hate what Flashpoint did with resetting the DC universe into the Nu52, that was a long ass time ago and my anger has (kinda) simmered. As much as i hate Flashpoint, Thomas Wayne Batman was sick as fuck and easily the best part of the storyline, so if this is just 6 issues of him kicking ass and looking cool in what I think is the best alternate Batman costume I'd say that's worth ten dollars.

At this point Clark and Bruce should just wear their “edgy older versions” suits full-time with how old they should be to have all these kids running around.

KC Superman and Flashpoint Batman are the peaks of their costume evolutions.

The Winter Soldier/Black Widow team up is great series imo.

Got the Alyssa Wong Psylocke TPB's. It's one of the only good things to come out of the trainwreck that is current X-Men. It made me want to go back to when Betsy first joined. She is there during the Morlock Massacre. She holds her own against Sabertooth which is fun. I love Kwannon but 80s Betsy is good too. I believe at one point she even suggests killing or mind raping someone to the point that even Storm is like 'Girl no.' (It was when she had the armor and cloak)
