Here's Drashed's video on cheating where he announces he cheated to make a point. I feel like the mods would have agreed with little drama if Drashed had proposed a rule change where any time in the top 10 requires handcam, but then again anyone who engages in competitive speedrunning is a little crazy.

Edit: This is so weird. The video plays, but I can't see the channel name or any stats about it. I've never seen the UI do this before. (Other videos work normally btw, it's just this one doing this for me)

Honestly, /r/SamAndTolki being shut down was the best thing that could have happened to him. The alogging was centred there and when it went down people kind of forgot about him, and he could just be a niche Youtuber.
Looking at the schedule, how long has it been since they've done any longform speedruns outside of three hour Pokemon runs? There's a few on there that seem interesting but not enough to suffer through the humiliation ritual, so I've been celebrating their decline with rpg runs from before (((TRANSRIGHTS))).
I just kinda skimmed the schedule, I'm not planning on watching a single thing from this event for what is probably now the 10th year in a row (or close to it). No names really called out to me as anything noteworthy. Yelsraek is running Gauntlet, he's been around forever. Livelyraccoon is doing a Bomberman game, same thing "he's been around forever". Both of them are competent runners I suppose. I'm not used to Livelyraccoon saying anything though, I'm not even sure he uses a mic (and he has no facecam). Spikevegeta is there as a commentator and I'm sure everything he says will be TOP KEK. CarlSagan42 is also there and to no one's surprise yup it's more Mario Maker slop.
I'm not even going to check anyone's Twitch links on the schedule, if the name sounds feminine I am going to assume it's a tranny and rest easy knowing I'll probably be correct nearly on all counts.. The only natal woman I am aware of who is there is kungfufruitcup and she's just a donation reader as usual.
I just chanced upon the start of it and was surprised none of the hosts are persons of gender, idk about the runners themselves I suppose that's unavoidable but it's a nice change from the supermagicalgirl era

Accusations were posted on Bluesky, games journos approached GDQ for comment and his ass was quietly fired. As usual everything was brushed under the rug and GDQ LLC would really prefer if everyone remained quiet.
This week, a former member of the GDQ community, Emmie Elliott, came forward alleging that they’d suffered harm at the hands of a prominent GDQ host, MrGameAndShout, a few years ago. This, Elliott said on Bluesky, took place “mainly” outside of GDQ walls, and GDQ wasn’t aware of the situation when it occurred.
Update 4/1/26: MrGameAndShout has lost his job and can no longer volunteer at GDQ.
"Effectively immediately, Shout is no longer GDQ staff and is permanently banned from volunteering at GDQ, due to violating GDQ's harassment policy," reads a message posted last month in the GDQ staff Discord by GDQ director of technology Jason “Wyrm” Deng, which Aftermath has viewed. "I'm sure many of you have questions. What we are able to share is that this report was filed directly with management, and management made the decision that the incident violated the harassment policy. I apologize for how this decision may affect staff and the community. However I need to emphasize we won't be commenting and that there should not be a thread to speculate/comment on this decision beyond what I've shared here."
