I own a PS5 and it’ll probably be the last PlayStation I own and I’m one of the niggas who got a Vita. The Sony that would try new ideas basically stopped around the time they introduced the $299 PS3 slim.

Sony has made a lot of retarded hardware decisions so getting rid of physical media while deleting “owned” movies tracks. Since 2005, Sony has tended to lead in spite of themselves. But you look at PS5 and how it hardly has those great exclusives. Nobody asked for a PS6 and considering how PS4 multiplatform games still get released, it seems like Sony wants to toss themselves into the shredder. The only ideas they’re going to have is Gran Snorismo 8 and remaking The Last of Us again. The Sony that would attempt things like Tokyo Jungle are long since gone and not coming back. Pass.

I don't think the physical media going away really even matters to modern gaming because every game is shipped broken and unfinished and they do 100 gigs of day 1 patches for every big release anyway. Games are so bloated with dogshit optimization that you can't even fit a whole game on one disc. What's even the point of the disc any more? Any game worth playing is already available on physical media.

I love physical games that I been playing, but really.
