Everyone was freaking out last year when it was announced the stores for PS3/Vita were about to be shut down and people bought things in mass and panic as a result, before the change in decision from SIE a month later or two. It was also a much bigger deal back then because I do remember there was still a lot of PS3/Vita contents (be DLCs or actual game titles) that weren't properly shared in databases like NoPayStation. Didn't help that Sony did pull the plug on the old store website around that time so the old exploit for download links of purchased contents was gone.

Nintendo fans also already went through this whole song and dance before with the Wii Shop Channel a few years back and the DSi Store before that. They've been more conditioned to accept that these online storefronts are temporary things whereas Sony had done the opposite in a lot of cases. When the PSP storefront went down they still had these bizarre ways to sideload PSP games onto a PSP from a PC or PS3 which still exist to this day. Plus Sony only gave like two and a half months worth of notice before they were going to start pulling the plug on stuff.

And remember how some PS3s would come bundled with a Blu-Ray copy of Spider-Man 3?

Look at this copy of a collector's edition of Spider-Man 3: The Game on PlayStation 3.

Well, just to add some insult to your injury, they gave it away for free last year, no PS+ required. I installed it and was gonna check it out, but didn't manage to before my PS4 died. Just as well, I haven't enjoyed anything that was exclusive to PlayStation since the PS3. Those wannabe movie games that are all over the console are fucking terrible.

I have all the major consoles, an analogue pocket and a PC.

I can't remember the last time I turned on my PS5, I think Sony is back to being arrogant. When they closed Japan Studio that's when I realised they've fucked up.

I think that's literally the only PS4-exclusive, Sony published game on the entire platform that I'd like to actually give a solid try, but that's another game where I have it, but not a working console. I got maybe an hour in.

If they'd just port that and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise to PC, I'd have absolutely everything from the PS4 I want on PC. What an overrated trash console.

I would also take a Switch port

There's literally no point to getting a PS5. Most of their exclusives are coming to PC and Sony's censorship for titles is unnecessary.
