I'll give them that they've announced games.
The remasters are retarded. They've only remastered LoK's last entry to reboot the series.
Kane will hand over the empire to a black woman vampire.

The simplest explanation is that higher resolutions, more polygons, and better textures means the CPU and GPU have to process more data and that's why enemy counts have never increased. So yeah, the push for higher visual quality above all else has a tradeoff: no more than 3 enemies on screen at a time.

What's the point in graphical updates if the games are more stale than they were 30 years ago and absent of effects?

4K was a mistake.
 
I'll give them this, new castlevania is better than anything at the partner direct by a mile and instantly puts this above almost every other state of play. Too bad the ps5 version will be the worst selling because it doesn't have a gun or a ball in it and it's "le heckin cringerino 2d in the CURRENT YEAR, REEEEE!!!"
