telegram is very popular for getting away from big brother
TG is the big one I hadn't checked. Setting up a phone number is a hassle. I did buy a big stock of burner numbers from textverified.com with some XMR, though.

Things will continue to get better and we will continue to heal.
I think this is true. The censorship push was never sustainable, and it's getting eaten away from all sides. Still, the culture of the old internet, in which freedom of speech was the universal default, is something that will take a while to come back.

Hopefully a global famine or Starlink failure knocks India off the internet - the presence of nons is anathema to that old culture.

Here's something most people don't consider. The internet is not the end location. As it turns out, theres a real world. Its more effective to communicate in there. So the smart people go and start doing that.
The internet ate the real world years ago, and only a handful of snarky retards are still saying otherwise. You can't Green Acres yourself off to rural life and escape it; the local CVS cashier in the formerly idyllic small town is a pooner and the gas station attendant, if he's not a jeet, is wearing a Sam Hyde T-shirt.

I don't recall last I saw even half as many people in one spot. Yet, we're only more people than ever. Where are they? Are those run-down towns gonna be dead forever or will there be a movement in 100 years from now to repopulate them?
Historically, urbanization only lasts as long as the ruling empire. When a fake economy built around bureaucrat jobs can no longer be sustained, and the cities become hellholes that no longer provide high wages for doing nothing, they depopulate.

To actually run a website where people share their uncensored wrongthink requires a great deal of technical skill and stubornness that most don't have so it's not surprising there aren't more.
There were plenty of such sites. As Anglin said, half of us are disillusioned GWOT vets and the other half are software engineers. The core question is where the population of these sites, which clearly still exists in the real world, went.

Kids got browner. So much so that even neonazis now are spics. That's it.

On top of that, third world gained internet access. Half of the wrongthink posts on X are third worlders or bots, it kills the passion.
"Far right" topics are more common and easier to bring up than ever before.
Are you talking about "maybe we shouldn't let people who got arrested 20 times before walk free."?

Twitter, likewise, had a lot more interesting people in 2016. The "fall of censorship" after Musk acquired it was an improvement, but did not return it to its previous laissez faire state, and the predominant 'wrongthink-aligned' accounts don't seem to be direct descendants of the old culture of the internet in the same way that communities like CA were. Generally older grifters and agendaposters, more interested in 'building brands' and agendaposting than having fun. Way more eceleb-focused, too, when that was a huge taboo as recently as 2016. There are still some good accounts sitting in the four digit subscriber counts, but they get banned pretty often.
What alternate universe did you come from? Twitter pre-2016 was the site to talk about how you had an extra-sugary fat-free lactose-free moccha tea latte or your trip to the park. It was hardly the hyper political mess it became post-Pmurt.

Some of them are gone, others have laid completely low (or simply lost all intent for content creation considering how it is now impossible to compete with AI), and the ones that stayed have pretty much moved to the collective farms (aka the likes of Twitter and Youtube).

Their websites will be swallowed away and turned into hosting slop.

There is simply no return and the Internet WILL inevitably either become compromised like TV stations are or whoever survives the upcoming Globalist catastrophe will simply not have the skills and intelligence to keep it running.

(Again, can't have Internet when the entire world is overran with majorly Arab, Indian and Sonalian rape murder gangs and pirates with the only rule for survival being kill or be killed)

Not saying that there isn't a slice of truth to what they believe, but the reason why the Internet is shit is because of penny-pinching you-know-who(s), Indians, and the way that it's being sanitized for everyone.
The Indians and AI were just nails in the coffin.

It was on the way during GamerGate and is already dead for good when Obama handed the Internet from DARPA to the United Nations and ICANN, effectively subjugating it to private corporations and Globalist groups that have even less regard for civil rights compared to the American Government under Clinton or GW Bush and draconian European Union law effectively applying worldwide.

Of note is most of the Jeets are Globalists hailing from the United Nations, so at the end it is still the United Nations.

This is Obama's most dastardly and final traitor move and pretty much cements an utter point of no return.

The fact that the United Nations and Obama are NEVER ONCE mentioned as main reason of the downfall of the Internet is legendary as it is disastrous.

Every mainstream website and service on the Internet has become progressively more hostile towards right-wing and non-politically correct ideas
Right and left are two sides of the same coin. Non-European-Mainstream ideas sounds more like it.

You don’t get more niche than Sam Hyde.

He's better known than many (most?) U.S. senators.

I think you just followed the wrong people. Nobody on Twitter in the past half a decade has been remotely as funny as Garfield Kart was.

I don't think that's it. Nons are a problem, but they self-filter well enough. The chilling effect of post-'16 mass censorship feels way more pertinent. Communities would've emerged that naturally excluded them by having a reading level above fourth grade.
Are you talking about "maybe we shouldn't let people who got arrested 20 times before walk free."?
Total remigration, race realism, anti-semitism, and of course the more obscure autistic stuff that was on blogs and /pol/ threads back in the day but had no real life penetration.
My least favorite part about modern internet in general. Yeah, sure, I'm aware it's more "secure", but dammit I need my login-password authorization service back.
The silver lining to mass jeet retardation is that that isn't long for this world because they are literally too stupid to figure out 2FA. Every website with 2FA now includes a button I can click to enter my password instead, despite the fact that that not only obsoletes the entire point of 2FA but leaves the login interface less secure than if they removed the other options and only allowed password login.

I'm not talking about one-off startup websites, either. Microsoft's account system does this. IIRC Github too, now.
The iPhone and its consequences have been a disaster for the Internet.
There have been eternal Septembers before, 1993 and 2007, for instance, but the old cultures survived by demarcating out territories they could fall back to. Parts of reddit retained the old usenet culture for a while, websites and sub-communities that weren't attractive to Iphone users likewise. I don't think it's directly comparable to the government going out of its way to nuke the internet's cultural engine.

The right wing dissident movement culturally won, despite (and partly because of) censorship, it is the default now. I remember 2000s and early 2010s were very liberal or left wing, even /pol/ technically was more "libertarian" than Nazi, then starting from the gayest of gay ops, gamergate, most of 2010s were a battleground, and now in 2020s just writing "christ is kang" on a social media platform to some leftie retard is an epic win that guarantees you likes and other forms of soc. media izzat.
Keep in mind, I don't mean that the left is defeated or whatever, but now the left is the one that has their own little "scary" internet circles while normal day2day social media is chud-leaning.

This naturally means that grifters arrived on the scene and have taken over as talking heads, which is why it's so hard to find someone whos legitimately relatable on the nu-right.
But alongside this, a far bigger catastrophe has developed, and I am not hyperbolizing at all when I say that this is the worst thing to happen to mankind - 3rd world now has access to the internet, and the 3rd world is like 90% of the world. The invisible market forces obviously forced the aforementioned nu-right grifters to appeal to these brown hordes.

This coupled with boomers also finally learning to use smartphones means that those people you are searching for OP, are now drowned out by brown and decaying masses of indians and boomers.

Imo, this started with the banning of r/the_donald, all those boomers were let out of their containment and flocked to /pol/ shitting it up irreparably, then the 'rona, the 2020 elections, self isolation, Qslop, etc basically raped /pol/ to death as all kinds of "free thinkers" flowed to it.

This made a lot of people give up posting, others moved on to real life, and so on.

The enshitting of /pol/ and /pol/ culture is something that needs to be studied because I have a sneaky suspicion that it was a very successful psyop - they couldn't shut it down, so they flooded it with browns who can't stop thinking about DA JOOZ and keep telling me how based islam is, and old faggots.

To answer your question, the only places where I'm getting a vibe of "intelligent people pretending to be retarded for fun, but will actually have a conversation with you if needed" are the sharty and /k/, as both of them have natural barriers that filter out brown niggers. incomprehensible soyslop, and guns.

a year or 2 ago I would also say /tv/, and I still kind of think so, but it is slowly getting enshitted.

At the one or two places that hire them. It’s not too dissimilar to what Indians do. If a pooner gets a job and decides that the management can be pulled on board, they’re going to try to get their friends hired.

Now, the employer is probably new to this whole concept and only has the first pooner to go off as an example of what type of minimum wage workers these little dudes can be. This first hire is going to be well spoken and a little over educated, they're either passing to most people (except on the short end) or just a butch with a pronoun pin.

They’re probably a good worker, they need enough hours to get healthcare and the poor business owner might go along with the premise that these people are held back in society by discrimination. And well, that seems like a temping offer in a time where people are keeping small staffs with extended hours.

Unfortunately, pooners range in quality and it’s not long before any number of things implode the situation. I don’t think this is talked about even in their circles is because one of the points of content is that a passer might only be open to certain other trans people. And that never includes the one who doesn’t even try to look like a man but is the loudest voice on trans rights. Sometimes the autism levels rise and you get some horrible hygienic decline when someone’s hrt starts working which results in everyone feeling uncomfortable, and when the customers are grossed out, that’s enough. No more pooners.

Twice I have seen this start off when a pooner had applied after confusing a dysgenic cis dude as one of them. The first time, the poon in question tried copying the style of this dude, who was a relapsing heroine addict.

A valuable research effort would be throwing together some kind of AI filter for imageboards that goes beyond the kind-of-outdated old system of regexes. Fine-tune a cheap LLM, crowdsource labels with opt-in moderation, add an image filter to block certain kinds of spam, and so on. Basically, once you've got a model of the imageboard's posting patterns, you can train a perceptron on featurized posts to discard the sub-distributions of posts that aren't interesting.

I've looked into this, prototyped it for images, I think it's workable.

Then it means you hang around the right people. Remigration and race realism isn't mainstream at all, in fact, people nowadays believe in race realism much less than they did in 1990s.
That's just libs lying about what they believe. They get off on telling the most blatant, socially harmful lies they can think of. It's the only way they can feel powerful.

As far as moderates and cons go, it's just people with a clue self-selecting out of studies like this, out of paranoia.

It's cope. pro-European Corporations and the UN still own the Internet, Microsoft and Google still owns everything, AI is going to become the norm and create a new generation of cretins who will teach us that the earth is flat and humanity is a Jewish slave race, and all it takes is Trump leaving office before the UN decides that every literate person is to be exterminated by Arabs and Pajeets.

This image sums it up very nicely.

Not even just in terms of political discussion but it seems like there's almost no sources of human interaction left to be found.
Dead Internet Theory is the reddit-acceptable way of explaining that jeets and censorship have ruined the internet.

I think AI can fix it, though. A sufficiently advanced filter that weeds out probable nons' posts and displays only the good stuff would make imageboards great again.

Have we tried going outside? I mean, I opened my curtains once and I’m sure there was a thing called “people” out there.
I guess this is the consolation. The Minnesota GOP just held a "moment of silence" for Derek Chauvin; our conquest of Real Life is not complete but it is proceeding apace.

Maybe there should be a thread for places the right kind of people hang out at. Gun ranges and political meetups are promising but also populated mainly by the old. Gyms good if you find the right one.

It's hard to find a political-change-over-time chart that isn't a demographic headcount in disguise. That may actually be one.

The big top-down full-spectrum all-society psyops I've seen over my lifetime, changes where the chart doesn't show "browning" but the success of propaganda, were forcing faggotry on everybody, the shift in blame for the holocaust from Hitler and his men to ordinary German civilians to Allied leadership to average white Americans to "whiteness"—and, of course, "race isn't real" (but whiteness is).

That sudden downward surge at the beginning of your graph corresponds with the academic freakout and media blitz against The Bell Curve, an insignificant pop anthropology book that we only remember because of the establishment's absolutely crazed overreaction to it. If you weren't "there" you don't understand how crazy it was. It normalized the physical assault of "right wing" campus speakers—American antifa was still a local Minneapolis/Portland/Seattle thing at the time and didn't do that—presaged professional "cancel culture," etc.

Now was made then.

What I truly wonder is what the fuck happened to people in real life. We used to have a royal shipbuilding harbor not 20 mins west of here. I've seen pics; three gigantic boats being built, thousands of people gathered every day to do so. I don't recall last I saw even half as many people in one spot. Yet, we're only more people than ever. Where are they? Are those run-down towns gonna be dead forever or will there be a movement in 100 years from now to repopulate them?
These people chose to live in the most expensive part of the US and are bitching about ridiculous rent and housing shortages on the locals FB group from their shitbox apartment they never leave while ordering Grub Hub. They have jobs, or lack thereof, that allow them to live literally anywhere else.
