It's starting to feel like they're having trouble ending episodes in a satisfying way.

I feel like the B plot is taking up too much time. They could likely do a full 24 minutes and do better.

It depends on how many people they have at their studio, although this episode had a lot of korean names in the end credits.

My two cents on the length of the episodes is that 10 minutes is just fine for this type of show. Like ATHF or Metalocalypse, the plots of the episodes just don't matter that much because they're just set ups for the gags and character interactions. I think both of those shows later did get the 20 minute upgrade but I've never watched those episodes so I don't know how each tackled that.
As long as I laugh in those ten minutes I think they've done a good job. There's no real continuity anyways as it just serves for callbacks. It's an episodic show you can watch in any order or straight up skip the episodes you dislike without missing anything.
I think Desmond's episode does a good job with the Allan B-Plot: It's low stakes and the scenes are very brief, but ties back to the main plot at the end and ends up giving closure to both of them. They could also go the Enchanted Forest route where there isn't a B-plot at all. I just don't know how any of the episodes so far could benefit from being ten minutes longer when the show is so focused on quick gags and not at all on overarching stories or character development.

EDIT: Okay the analog horror bit was actually kinda funny, especially the jumpscare warning.

Not sure where else to post this, but I saw it on rdrama the other day and remembered that we have a Smiling Friends thread, so fuck it.
A bunch of Newgrounds people made a Digital Zeen. There's a suprising amount that is just dedicated to seething that Zach and Michael are totally hack frauds for getting a show and having fans and shit. It reeks of sour grapes.

Lmao pure jealousy on display. On the topic of Newgrounds people finding success there's also Krinkels, but I guess he'd be more respected by them for having self-published a game on Steam after a Kickstarter and a decade of development. It sits at 97% positive reviews. Still a big fan of his animations, having gone from this:

Funny how the first page of recent comments has these four guys criticizing the zine's contents. There are also other comments that call the artists "Tumblr/Twitter users" and I wouldn't be surprised if that were to be the case because Friday Night Funkin' resulted in that sort of crowd invading the site in droves in the early 2020s.
